Vancouver, B.C., March 13, 2007. Alto Ventures Ltd. (ATV: TSX-V) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Koziol (P. Eng, P. Geo.) to the position of President. Mike has been the Vice President of Exploration for Alto since 2004 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2006. Mike is a geologist with 30 years of experience exploring for gold and base metals in the Canadian Shield and is responsible for the discovery of the McIlvenna Bay massive sulphide deposit in north-eastern Saskatchewan and the Comtois and Despinassy gold deposits in north-western Quebec.
Mike, as President and Director, will continue to advance the Company's existing projects including the investigation of possible underground exploration at Despinassy, as well as advancing the Company's three Beardmore area projects and the Coldstream project in Shebandowan, Ontario. Mike's duties will also include seeking strategic alliances and advancing the corporate agenda for strategic acquisitions and development.
Kenneth Judge, Chairman of the Board of Directors, has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer.
Former President & CEO, Richard Mazur, will focus on his other management duties in the resource sector and remains a Director of the Company. The Board wishes to thank Rick for his contributions over the past three years since the reorganization of Alto in 2004 as a Canadian gold exploration and development company.
