DRILLING UNDERWAY ON NEARBY MUD LAKE PROJECT
Vancouver, B.C., December 11, 2007. Alto Ventures Ltd. (ATV: TSX-V) is pleased to announce the receipt of initial results from the Company's recent prospecting program on its Cote-801 Property. Encouragingly, assays of samples collected during this program have returned grades of up to 15.5 g/t gold. The Cote-801 property is in the historically productive Beardmore-Geraldton Gold Belt and located 20 km east of the town of Beardmore and 12 km south of the Hercules Property on which Kodiak Exploration Ltd. has reported significant assay results from its recent drilling.
The Company's prospecting program was carried out in October and focused on a segment of sheared and altered iron formation from which gold mineralization was reported in the past. Previous work, dating back to the early 1990's, identified gold on surface for 200 m along strike (see Alto news release dated 5th September 2007). Alto's recent work has now extended the gold bearing iron formation to at least 400 m along strike with anomalous values in grab samples ranging from 0.1 g/t gold to 15.5 g/t gold.
Immediately following the prospecting program, Alto undertook trenching and washing programs but with the early onset of winter weather conditions, the Company was unable to map and sample the new trenches in detail and will do so during the early summer months of 2008. This gold mineralized structure was not drilled previously and with completion of the recent work, the Company is now anticipating that diamond drilling will be undertaken once results are received from the 2008 summer mapping and sampling.
The results from this prospecting program are very encouraging as they have helped identify a number of new targets in the Beardmore-Geraldton Gold Belt that lie several kilometres south of the current exploration activities being reported by Kodiak Exploration Ltd, Sage Gold Inc, and Ontex Resources Ltd.
Alto and its partner Wescan Goldfields Inc are currently drilling the Mud Lake Project located adjacent to Kodiak's Hercules Property and only seven kilometres north of the Cote-801 Property (see Alto news release dated 22nd November 2007).

Quality Assurance/ Quality Control
Rock samples collected by prospectors were described by Alto geologists and their locations confirmed in the field. The samples were then delivered by Alto staff to the Accurassay Laboratories sample preparation facility in Sudbury Ontario and then shipped by Accurassay to its analytical laboratory in Thunder Bay for gold analyses. The gold assaying method uses a standard Fire Assay with AA finish technique on a 30 gram sub-sample taken from a 500 gram split from the submitted sample. The laboratory ran internal check assays every 10 samples to ensure lab quality control.
